T-bone Collision. Underinsured Policy – $100,000

Our client sustained injuries in a motor vehicle collision that occurred in California. He was traveling through an intersection when the defendant caused a T-bone collision, resulting in a significant impact and bodily injury.

As a direct result of the collision, our client suffered injuries to his neck, lower back, shoulder, and arm, along with complaints of dizziness and head trauma after striking the windshield. He underwent extensive medical treatment, including chiropractic care, medical evaluations, diagnostic imaging, and follow-up care. Despite ongoing symptoms, imaging of the brain was ultimately normal. His total medical expenses amounted to $70,939.08.

A demand was submitted to the at-fault insurance carrier in an effort to resolve the matter pre-litigation. The defendant’s policy limits were confirmed at $30,000. Through strategic negotiations, we were able to secure the full policy limits from the defendant’s carrier. Additionally, a claim was pursued under the client’s uninsured/underinsured motorist policy, resulting in an additional $70,000 recovery. The matter ultimately resolved for a combined settlement of $100,000.
